Helderstroom Alpaca Farm
Located 10 km from Villiersdorp, is home to nearly 50 alpacas, the second group to arrive in South Africa in 2004. They showcase their herd's fine fleece, known for its diverse range of 22 colors. Visitors can see wool-spinning demonstrations and shop for beautifully crafted alpaca fiber garments, perfect as heirloom pieces.


Kelkiewyn Farm Stall
Situated by the Elands River in Villiersdorp, is the sole tasting venue for Villiersdorp Cellar wines. Itoffers an inviting restaurant experience. The menu is curated for both value and quality. In winter, guests can cozy up by the fire with a glass of Villiersdorp's finest red wine, embodying ethos of slow living and culinary excellence.
Tractor & Engine Museum
Villiersdorp's vintage tractor museum, run by the Veteran Tractor and Engine Club, offers a captivating journey through farming machinery history. Visitors can explore diverse tractors, imagining their past lives. Conveniently located near Kelkiewyn.


Theewaters Golf Club
Golfer’s Digest rates Theewater's 9-hole golf course as one of South Africa's top courses, offering spectacular views to enhance your game. Practice your swing on the practice green and driving range, or hire a golf cart for convenience. Located on the R43 towards Caledon/Hermanus, the club entrance is about 5 km ahead on your right.
Aphrodisiac Shack Smokehouse
Set by the Theewaterskloof Dam, they offer a renowned charcuterie specializing in smoked meats and gourmet treats.Guests can enjoy picnic hampers amid scenic surroundings. Families can enjoy the playground and paddling in the dam's shallows. Fishing enthusiasts are welcome to bring their gear.


Painting courses at the Elliott Gallery
Dale and Janny Elliott decided to create their dream country retreat in Villiersdorp. Their artistic haven features studios, a gallery exhibiting nature-inspired works, and a framing room. The Elliott Gallery adds to the town's artistic allure, offering painting courses for guests. Upstairs, visitors can explore a captivating display of shells with a collector's story.
Elandskloof Scenic Drive
Elandskloof, Villiersdorp's hidden gem, offers stunning vistas connecting fruit farms to the town. Major farms like High Noon, Kaaimansgat, and Elandsrivier dot the landscape. Take the Elandskloof turnoff just 2km outside Villiersdorp to discover why it's often called 'little Switzerland'.


Villiersdorp Winelands Mountain Biking
Cycle through scenic farm roads amid vines and orchards on this picturesque trail, part of the Cape Epic route. Enjoy river crossings and birdlife, and take a dip near a waterfall in the Kaaimansgat Valley. With a distance of about 5km, it's perfect for novice mountain bikers. Grab a map from the Tourism office on Union Street to guide your ride.
Kroonland 4x4 Route
Experience the Kroonland 4x4 trails off Elandskloof road for an adventure into enchanting landscapes. The 13 km route, accommodating up to 20 vehicles per group, offers a thrilling 3-hour journey. Created by the farm's owner, a dedicated 4x4 enthusiast, using a D4 Caterpillar, the trails promise an exhilarating escapade.


Franschhoek Pass
The Franschhoek Pass, or Lambrechts Road, traverses the northern edge of the Franschhoek Mountains, offering stunning views of valleys, gorges, and mountains. It's known for its heart-stopping vistas, particularly the descent to the Franschhoek River from the summit. Several stopping points along the way allow for breaks and photo opportunities.
HOTTENTOTS HOLLAND NATURE RESERVE
The reserve leads to rugged terrain with altitudes from 500 m to 1,590 m. Wildlife includes grey rhebuck, klipspringer, common duiker, and grysbok, with occasional leopard sightings. About 110 bird species, including raptors, inhabit the area. The Hottentots Holland section of the Boland Hiking Trail crosses the reserve.


The Green Mountain Eco Route
Features the world's first biodiversity wine route over the Groenland Mountains and extends through the Elgin Valley, Botriver, Caledon, and Villiersdorp. Highlights include local gardens, regional wines, the Groenlandberg Conservancy, historical sites like Houw Hoek village, an art route in Villiersdorp, mountain bike and hiking trails, the Bot River Lagoon wetlands, and stunning fynbos vistas.
